Family Portrait-part 6

part 6: *July 5,2010* It was Iris' first birthday. But still the party had yet to come into place.
Adam was running around madly while holding Lily making phone calls to different people about party related stuff while Kris was out and about trying to find the bakery that Iris' cake was at and trying to do last minute shopping for the party.
Iris meanwhile sat in her highchair giggling as her father paced from room to room with the phone and her sister.
"What do you mean it won't be ready until 2:30?" Adam asked
The lady on the other end must have given him a bad answer because Adam was not happy.
"Do you even realize who you're talking to, lady? I am Adam Lambert and I'm more famous than you'll ever wish to be!" he said
Then the lady hung up on him.
"Hello?...Hello?" Adam asked
Meanwhile at the shopping center, Kris was staring blankly at the directory when someone was talking behind him.
"Hey Bill, it's that guy who became pregnant while on "American Idol"!" Kris heard
Kris turned to look at just who was mocking him.
It was those twins from Tokio Hotel, that band Adam likes.
"I wonder if he's pregnant again?" Bill asked
"Nein Billy, He probably got sick of the attention!" Tom replied as the twins cackled
"Excuse me, I hate to break up your private roasting session of me but can you tell me where I can find the toy section?" Kris asked
The twins howled in laughter.
"I'M SERIOUS! It's my daughter's birthday!" Kris said
Moments later at home, Adam was in the middle of feeding Lily when the phone rang.
"Hello?" he said
"Adam, which should I get?" it was Kris
"Get the one she would like?" Adam replied
"What does *ow!* that mean? There are *stop!* 50,000 of these *for God's sake i said cut it out!* damn things and I can't decide on the right one." Kris complained
"Kris, is there someone with you?" Adam asked
"Just these two clowns from Tokio Hotel. They followed me to the toy department and now they're poking me in the stomach. I don't know why." Kris replied then he turned to the two brothers on floor poking him "Stop that right now! I am not going to tell you again!"
"Maybe this is why we don't see many kids in the store." Adam laughed
Kris laughed with him but it wasn't because the joke was funny.
It was because he was being tickled.
Kris then looked over at the toys and noticed something had fallen off the shelf.
"I'll call you back." Kris said to Adam
"I'll be waiting." Adam replied
Meanwhile, Kris was looking for the playset that had fallen off the shelf.
Then, Tom got his attention
"Hey! looking for something?" he asked
"You found it." Kris said taking the toy and placing it in the cart
*Later* It was a stretch but Iris' birthday was a success.
"Cake yum!" Iris said as she tried to stuff the cake in her mouth but ended up getting it all over her face
"That is so cute!" Allison cooed as she took a picture
"Next comes the bath!" Adam joked as he picked Iris up
"Is the birthday girl coming back to open her gifts?" Tommy asked as he reset his camera
"Trust me. She's coming back." Kris replied as he played with Lily
Later, a barbie-themed pinata was placed in the backyard.
Everyone watched as Iris swung the bat and broke the pinata.
Candy went everywhere!
But something else flew out.
It was a pair of tickets.
Adam turned to Kris.
"I didn't put those in. Did you?" he asked
"No. I filled this pinata at the candy store and the only ones around to see me do it were...Oh those guys." Kris said
"What guys?" Adam asked, clueless
"Remember those guys I was yelling at on the phone?" Kris asked
"Bill and Tom?" Adam replied
"Yes. They must have slipped the tickets in when my back was turned." Kris said
When everyone left and the party was over, the phone rang.
Kris went to answer it.
And it was Tom.
"Hey, Kris! Did your daughter get those tickets we snuck into the pinata?" he asked
"Yeah. I was surprised alright." Kris replied
"How old is the little princess now?" Tom asked
"One." Kris replied
"WHAT?!" Tom asked "I was expecting to see a two or maybe three year old. But one?! Can she talk yet?"
"Why all this sudden interest in my daughter?" Kris asked back
Tom sighed "I'm going to be a father myself. It's also a little girl."
"Have you told Bill yet?" Kris asked
"I can't. He may not trust me again. And the worst part is that I don't even know this woman!" Tom said
*the night of the show* Kris and Iris were promised backstage passes.
When they went backstage to the dressing room, Kris noticed the door to Bill and Tom's dressing room was cracked.
"Ich kann nicht glauben du würde halten dieser Schwangerschaft ein Geheimnis von mir!!" Bill cried in the band's home language as he threw stuff around the dressing room
"Bill, Bitte! I thought you would be happy!" Tom cried
"What gives you the right to do that? I thought you couldn't get pregnant! I thought you were normal!" Bill screamed "Now all the magazines are going to make fun of you saying you can have children!"
"Billa, I'm worried about that too but you should be happy for me. You're gonna be an uncle!" Tom said
"Tom do you want the same thing to happpen to you that happened to Kris?" Bill asked
As Bill said that, Kris let himself in.
"Guys, what's all the fuss about? Did I miss something?" he asked as he put Iris down
Tom hung his head.
Bill walked over to Iris and lead her out of the room so Tom could explain everything to Kris.
"What's going on, Tom? You sounded pretty defensive in here." Kris asked
Tom sighed and took his shirt off revealing a baby bump.
"Tom why are you acting like this is a big deal? You know, I've been there too. It's not fun but it's totally worth it." Kris said
"Kris, this is a big deal! A very big deal! Bill's the father!" Tom said
"On the phone you said you got a woman pregnant!" Kris said
"That was because Bill was in the room and I didn't want to say anything." Tom said "What should I do? I'm so scared!" Tom cried
"I don't know what to say. I never dealt with incest before." Kris said
"Say something. All this stress is killing us both." Tom said as he placed a hand on his belly
Then an image came to Kris. Adam went through the same fear when he was pregnant with Lily.
"Staying here and crying about it won't solve anything, Tom. You need to get up and go out there and tell Bill how all this makes you feel." Kris said
As Tom exited the room and saw Bill playing peek a boo with Iris.
"Bill?" Tom asked
"Yes Tom." Bill replied, still playing with Iris
"Can we talk?" Tom asked
Bill looked up.
"What about?" he asked
"Baby!" Iris pointed out
Tom chuckled.
"Okay, I'm listening." Bill said
"Billa, I really need your help with this baby. And if you're being disapproving about it. It just won't get us anywhere. So what do you say? Will you help me?" Tom asked
"Of course." Bill said
"Yay! it's all better!" Iris said
"Okay Iris, I think we had enough fun for one night. Time for bed." Kris said to his daughter as she whined in protest
Later at home, Kris stared at the ceiling still trying to process all that Tom told him that night.
Then Adam came in front of him and interrupted his thoughts with a kiss.
"Whatcha thinkin about, pocket idol?" he asked
"Tom's pregnant." Kris blurted
Adam looked over "No! really?" he said
"Would I have a straight face if I was lying? Of course really and it gets better, Bill's the father." Kris said
Adam's jaw dropped.
"B-but they're brothers...twin brothers!" Adam replied
"I know. Shall I call the therapist for a morning session?" Kris joked
"Not before I tickle you first!" Adam smirked
Kris' giggles could be heard throughout the house until Iris' cries interrupted.
"Daddy! Monster!" she screamed
